Dr. Kurtz is a Cum Laude graduate of SUNY Albany and received his DDS degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1983. After practicing general dentistry for a dozen years, Dr. Kurtz received prosthodontic specialty training at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Maxillofacial Prosthetic training at the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery/Bronx VAMC. Dr. Kurtz is board certified in prosthodontics, the specialty of implant, esthetic, and reconstructive dentistry, and joined Dr. Gluck in 2000. Dr. Kurtz holds academic appointments and teaches at three metropolitan area graduate prosthodontic training programs. He is a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Director of the Advanced Program in Prosthodontics for International Dentists at the NYU College of Dentistry. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Dentistry and Otolaryngology at Montefiore Medical Center/ AECOM, and is the maxillofacial prosthodontist for the Children's Hospital at Montefiore multidisciplinary craniofacial team. Finally, he is the Director of the Maxillofacial Prosthetics Section, Postgraduate Prosthodontics, New York Hospital - Queens. Dr. Kurtz is a member of the International Association for Dental Research, and regularly conducts dental materials research with collaborators in Japan and the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. |
